The Barnwood veneer range comes fleece-backed, in sheets (layons) 2,440 mm x 1,220 mm as standard and have a brushed feel on the veneer surface. Thanks to our special manufacturing process, you get a structured, firm surface with a beautiful contemporary antique look.
This is a complex process, where no material is removed; on the contrary, the surface is compressed and becomes even harder. There are a number of species and colour options currently available in the Barnwood range. If we do not have exactly what you are looking for, almost all of our natural and pre-dyed veneers can be requested, which can provide a whole new dimension to your project.
Natural growth characteristics such as cracks, knots and burls are underlaid with a black fleece, so that the layons are "surface ready" and no longer need to be joined or flattened therefore saving a lot of time and labour cost.
